Highland Village Schools

Students living in Highland Village are eligible to attend Lewisville ISD schools, not Highland Village ISD schools. Counterintuitive as it may seem, there is no Highland Village Independent School District.

As demonstrated by their Texas Educations Agency (TEA) accountability ratings and Texas Assessment of Academic Skills (TAKS) scores, Highland Village public schools are among the best schools in the greater Dallas area. All five of these schools received exemplary accountability ratings, indicated below in bold, for 2008-2009 school year. As can be seen by clicking on this northwest Dallas suburbs schools performance link, this is a significantly higher percentage of exemplary ratings than was received by other DFW schools.

Accountability ratings, TAKS scores, class sizes and student teacher ratios, along with SAT scores for high schools, for the 2007-2008 school year are available by clicking on campus names. This information for the 2008-2009 school year will be posted on these campus pages when it is published by the TEA in late-November.
