Relocating to Dallas / Fort Worth ...

If you are relocating to the DFW metroplex and want to buy the executive or luxury home that is best suited to you and your family, you probably have a lot of questions, such as ...

Which Dallas / Fort Worth suburbs are considered the best places to live?
What do houses cost in various parts of the Dallas / Fort Worth metroplex?
Where are the best schools and neighborhoods?
Do Dallas / Fort Worth real estate market conditions currently favor buyers or sellers when negotiating the sale of a house?

These and many other similar questions about Dallas / Fort Worth residential real estate are answered on this web site.

Detailed information about the northwest Dallas suburbs of Southlake, Colleyville, Flower Mound, Keller, west Plano, southwest Frisco, Westlake, Coppell, Highland Village, Grapevine, Argyle area, and Trophy Club also is provided on this web site. All things considered, these northwest Dallas suburbs may well be the best places to live in the entire metroplex. This is what my research shows and it also is what my clients indicate when they decide where to buy their homes.

Southlake

Almost everyone who visits Southlake falls in love with it. And why would they not? Southlake has some of the most beautiful luxury homes and upscale neighborhoods in north Texas, is served by one of only three DFW area school districts to receive an exemplary rating from the Texas Education Agency in 2007, and is in a beautiful natural setting of wooded rolling hills. Southlake Town Square anchors one of the metroplex's best known shopping areas and Southlake residents have relatively quick commutes to Dallas / Fort Worth International Airport, the Las Colinas business center, and both Dallas and Fort Worth.

Colleyville

Colleyville's gracious way of life probably can be attributed, at least in some part, to its more than 150 years heritage of being an uncommonly pleasant place to live. First settled in the mid-1800's, the area Colleyville now occupies has gone through several transformations, as it is again doing now. Family farms and older neighborhoods with small, out-of-date houses are being replaced with estate homes and luxury neighborhoods. In other mature, but more upscale neighborhoods, homes are being renovated and made better than when they were first built. Colleyville residents also appreciate its central location, some of the best schools in the metroplex, and a terrific new upscale shopping and restaurant area.

Flower Mound

If one minute you are in one of the two best master planned communities in the metroplex and just few minutes later find yourself looking at a patch of pumpkins or a pasture full of grazing cattle, you must be in Flower Mound. Its small town feel, combined with many recently-built upscale homes, some of DFW's top schools, and three nearby major shopping centers make Flower Mound an exceptionally attractive place to buy a home. An added bonus for frequent flyers who live in Flower Mound is they are little more than ten miles from Dallas / Fort Worth International Airport's main passenger terminals.

More about Flower Mound and why it is a terrific place to live can be found on these Flower Mound real estate, Flower Mound schools, and Flower Mound neighborhoods pages.

Keller

At times in the past overshadowed by its neighbors, Southlake and Colleyville, Keller now must be considered one the top places in the metroplex to build or buy a new house. New luxury home neighborhoods are being built in all parts of Keller and construction is underway on two adjoining neighborhoods in northwest Keller that together are expected to eventually contain nearly 1,000 mostly upscale homes. Beautiful homes, great neighborhoods, and a relatively short commute to Fort Worth make Keller a particularly popular place to buy a home for people whose work is on the west side of the metroplex.

West Plano

Looking for convenience to great shopping and work and a vibrant city lifestyle, but also for great neighborhoods and schools that usually rank among the best in the Dallas / Fort Worth area? Then west Plano could well be where you will want to buy. A major business center and numerous recreational venues, plus two of the metroplex's most popular upscale shopping areas, many of the best restaurants, and some of its most prestigious luxury home neighborhoods are located in west Plano. It is a reasonably short drive from west Plano to the north Dallas business center and downtown Dallas.

Southwest Frisco

Frisco is one of the fastest growing cities in the DFW metroplex. However, only a small portion of this growth is taking place within the southwest Frisco area, as it is mostly already built out. Great homes, neighborhoods, schools, and the largest shopping mall in the metroplex are in place and the construction of major thoroughfares leading into and out of southwest Frisco is nearing completion. The expected influx of 150,000 new residents building and buying homes in other parts of Frisco over the next 20 or so years will no doubt create even more choices in shopping, restaurants, entertainment, and services.

Other northwest Dallas suburbs

Just as each of the northwest Dallas suburbs introduced above offers something unique and wonderful, so too do the other northwest Dallas suburbs of Westlake, Coppell, Highland Village, Grapevine, Argyle, and Trophy Club. Take a look at them as well.
