The Argyle Independent School District currently operates an elementary school, an intermediate school, a middle school, a high school, and an alternate education center. These schools are attended by approximately 1,500 students who live in Argyle, Bartonville, Denton and Flower Mound.

For the 2010-2011 school year, Argyle ISD was rated exemplary by the Texas Education Agency. Three of its campuses received exemplary ratings, one received an academically acceptable rating, and one was not rated. The percentage of Argyle ISD students passing the 2010-2011 Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) was among the highest in the Texas.
