The Coppell Independent School District currently operates ten elementary schools, three middle schools and one high school. These fourteen schools are attended by approximately 10,100 students who live in Coppell, Irving, and Lewisville.
For the 2006-2007 school year, Coppell ISD was rated as recognized by the Texas Education Agency (TEA). Eleven of its campuses received exemplary ratings, two received recognized ratings, one received an academically acceptable rating, and one was not rated. The percentage of Coppell ISD students passing the 2006-2007 Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) was significantly higher than for all Texas schools.
Thirteen Coppell ISD schools are attended by students living in the northwest Dallas suburbs profiled on this web site. As shown below, ten of these campuses were rated exemplary by the TEA based on their 2006-2007 school year performances, two were rated recognized, and one was rated academically acceptable.
