The Coppell Independent School District currently operates nine elementary schools, three middle schools, two high schools and one special programs center. These fifteen schools are attended by approximately 10,000 students who live in Coppell, Irving, and Lewisville.
For the 2009-2010 school year, Coppell ISD was rated as exemplary by the Texas Education Agency (TEA). Thirteen of its campuses received exemplary ratings, one received recognized a rating, and one was not rated. The percentage of Coppell ISD students passing the 2009-2010 Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) was significantly higher than for all Texas schools.
