The Frisco Independent School District currently operates twenty-two elementary schools, six middle schools, four high schools and one special programs center. These thirty-three schools are attended by more than 24,000 students who live in Frisco, Little Elm, McKinney and Plano.
For the 2006-2007 school year, Frisco ISD was rated academically acceptable by the Texas Education Agency (TEA). Thirteen of its campuses received exemplary ratings, thirteen received recognized ratings, six received academically acceptable ratings, and one was not rated. The percentage of Frisco ISD students passing the 2006-2007 Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) was significantly higher than for all Texas schools.
Fourteen Frisco ISD schools are attended by students living in the northwest Dallas suburbs profiled on this web site. As shown below, five of these campuses were rated exemplary by the TEA based on their 2006-2007 school year performances, five were rated recognized and four were rated academically acceptable.
