The Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District currently operates nineteen elementary schools, five junior high schools, two high schools, and three special programs centers. These twenty-nine schools are attended by approximately 20,000 students who live in Bedford, Euless, Hurst, Arlington, Colleyville, Fort Worth, and North Richland Hills.
For the 2009-2010 school year, Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD was rated recognized by the Texas Education Agency (TEA). Nineteen of its campuses received exemplary ratings, six received recognized ratings, one received an academically acceptable rating, and three were not rated. The percentage of Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD students passing the 2009-2010 Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) was somewhat higher than for all Texas schools.
Three Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD schools are attended by students living in the northwest Dallas suburbs profiled on this website. As shown below, two of these campuses were rated exemplary by the TEA based on their 2008-2009 school year performances and one was rated recognized.
