The Keller Independent School District currently operates eighteen elementary schools, five intermediate schools, five middle schools, three high schools and one specials program center. These thirty-two schools are attended by more than 28,000 students who live in Keller, Colleyville, Fort Worth, Haltom City, Hurst, North Richland Hills, Southlake, Watauga, and Westlake.
For the 2006-2007 school year, Keller ISD was rated academically acceptable by the Texas Education Agency (TEA). Nine of its campuses received exemplary ratings, fourteen received recognized ratings and nine received academically acceptable ratings. The percentage of Keller ISD students passing the 2005-2006 Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) was somewhat higher than for all Texas schools.
Fifteen Keller ISD schools are attended by students living in the northwest Dallas suburbs profiled on this web site. As shown below, six of these campuses were rated exemplary by the TEA based on their 2006-2007 school year performances, six were rated recognized and three were rated academically acceptable.
