The Lewisville Independent School District currently operates forty elementary schools, fifteen middle schools, seven high schools and two special programs centers. These sixty-four schools are attended by more than 50,000 students who live in Lewisville, Argyle, Carrollton, Coppell, Copper Canyon, Double Oak, Flower Mound, Grapevine, Hebron, Highland Village, Frisco, Plano, and The Colony.
For the 2010-2011 school year, Lewisville ISD was rated recognized by the Texas Education Agency (TEA). Twenty-six of its campuses received exemplary ratings, twenty-one received recognized ratings, fifteen received academically acceptable ratings, and two were not rated. The percentage of LISD students passing the 2010-2011 Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) was significantly higher than for all Texas schools.
Thirty-one Lewisville ISD schools are attended by students living in the northwest Dallas suburbs profiled on this website. As shown below, twenty-three of these campuses were rated exemplary by the TEA based on their 2010-2011 school year performances, four were rated recognized and four were rated academically acceptable.
