The Northwest Independent School District currently operates eleven elementary schools, three middle schools and one high school. These fifteen schools are attended by approximately 11,800 students who live in Aurora, Flower Mound, Fort Worth, Haslet, Justin, Keller, Newmark, Rhome, Roanoke, Southlake, and Trophy Club.
For the 2006-2007 school year, Northwest ISD was rated academically acceptable by the Texas Education Agency (TEA). One of its campuses received an exemplary rating, eleven received recognized ratings, and three received academically acceptable ratings. The percentage of Northwest ISD students passing the 2005-2006 Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) was somewhat higher than for all Texas schools.

As shown below, One of these campuses was rated exemplary by the TEA based on its 2006-2007 school year performances, three were rated recognized, and one was rated academically acceptable.
