The Carroll Independent School District currently operates five elementary schools, three intermediate schools, two middle schools and two high schools. These eleven schools are attended by approximately 8,000 students who live in Southlake, Grapevine, and Westlake.

No 2012 accountability ratings were assigned due to ongoing development of new state and federal accountability system that is being implemented in 2013. For the 2010-2011 school year, Carroll ISD was rated exemplary by the Texas Education Agency. The percentage of Carroll ISD students passing the 2010-2011 Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) was among the highest in the Texas.
