Students living in Southlake are eligible to attend Carroll ISD schools, except those residing in about 20 subdivisions that lie west of Davis Boulevard / Randol Mill Avenue that are served by Keller ISD schools and six subdivisions located in the northwest part of Southlake, which is in Denton County, that are served by Northwest ISD schools.
As demonstrated by their Texas Educations Agency (TEA) accountability ratings and Texas Assessment of Academic Skills (TAKS) scores, Southlake public schools are among the best schools both in the Dallas Fort Worth area and in Texas. Fourteen of these nineteen schools received exemplary accountability ratings, indicated below in bold, for 2006-2007 school year.
